There really is nothing better than the traditional morning stroll along the seafront with family on Christmas Day. Our garden space will be open from 10.30am – 2pm, fully equipped with heaters, cosy blankets and even hot water bottles. We will be serving an array of festive tipples and hearty bacon sandwiches to kick start your Christmas morning. Snuggle up with a blanket, take a breath of the fresh sea air and enjoy some quality time at your cosy seaside local on the big day.

Welcoming staff and great food My partner and I have been to the Grove a few times for drink when we have been in the area and always find the staff to be welcoming and friendly. On our most recent visit to Exmouth we decided to stay for the Sunday roast and we were not disappointed. The meat was perfectly cooked and the crispy roast potatoes hit the spot. We'll definitely visit again when we are back in the Exmouth.

Great Sunday roast, cosy pub We visited the Grove on Christmas Eve for a drink, the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was enjoying themselves, the staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The fire was roaring and the smell of mulled wine made it very cosy and festive. On seeing the food coming past our table, we decided to stay for lunch. I had the roast lamb which was absolutely delicious. Extremely tasty and the meat fell off the bone, lots of veg, potatoes and gravy all piping hot. My partner had the roast beef and thourougly enjoyed it as well. After being out of the country for a couple of years a good old Sunday roast was greatly appreciated and did not disappoint. Thank you- we will be back.

Fabulous venue, great staff, professional service So, so glad the Grove could host all 30 of us last night. They did us proud. From our very first enquiry with Angie and subsequent meetings with Gemma and Will, we immediately felt confident that we were in good hands. Our party included a few guests with specific dietary needs. To reassure us, Gemma introduced us with both chefs, Paul and Wayne, who were more than happy to talk through every detail. Everything happened as planned on the evening itself. Lovely Sophie served us all evening. She was unphased by the large numbers and we all enjoyed her company. When it came to the bill, there too, no surprises or unexpected ad-ons. It was exactly as expected. An unforgettable evening. I can thoroughly recommend the Grove.
